January 2015

January was a pretty calm month, but we had a few exciting things happen. Lucy had her first trip to urgent care when she was pretending to do karate kicks or something with Jared and slipped on the wood floor and busted her chin open. Who knew your skin can just break open from falling on the floor?!! She didn't even hit a sharp object. Anyways. Mom and Lucy had a fun trip to the urgent care and she was such a good girl. She didn't even cry once ;)
Lucy took a picture of her scar so she could see it. Smart girl :)

You can see the bandaid on her chin from her little Urgent Care adventure :)

Almost always in princess clothes, but still not quite ready to give up naps now and then.

Samuel is not yet walking but he crawls SO FAST! He loves to chase the older kids around the house. There is a nice little loop from the living room to the dining room into the kitchen and then down the hall that the kids all love to chase each other around. They especially love to pretend they are chasing monsters and Sammy does not like to miss out on the fun. No wonder he is so skinny!

Lucy had another fun adventure this month. She started preschool! She goes to the preschool at Moon High School where the high school students teach under the supervision of an adult teacher. They offer a half year and a full year class but we registered too late to get into the full year class. I don't mind, though. I like having her at home  :) But she loved her preschool and we were really impressed with the program there. They even gave us a packet at the end of the year with a 7 page report that the students wrote about Lucy's different areas of development and charts that showed her progress, lots of pictures and tons of great stuff. It was awesome!

Our first day of school pictures!

we got quite a bit of snow this year. I think we shoveled the driveway about a million times. It wasn't too bad but we definitely won't be buying a house with a big hill for a driveway anytime in the near future :)

Last piece of news for the month, we got a real table and a bench to go with it! Dwight and Sherrie's Christmas present came a bit later in the month (we had to wait for the store to schedule the delivery) and we love it! This bench is seriously the best thing to happen to our kitchen. I love it, the kids love it, life is good :) The table is REALLY nice, too :)

And here are just some really cute pictures to share:

these kids love their grandpa steve :)

he is so sneaky and loves climbing up and sitting on this. is scares me to death!
