June 2014

So it's official, we live in Pennsylvania. We are living with my parents for the summer until we find our own place to live and get settled and everything. June was kind of a crazy month. Jared had to go back to Utah TWICE to finish up getting his private pilot's license. The first time there was a big miscommunication and they didn't sign him up to take the flying test basically, so he had to go back again a week later. It was a bit stressful, but we survived. My job was able to transfer me here and started working right after vacation. Thankfully Johanna came to visit I believe during Jared's second trip to Utah and Rachel's girls were a huge help with watching kids while I worked and Jared was out of town. It was crazy. And Jared had just been hired to work at Home Depot so we had to work out that schedule as well. It was just plain crazy around here for the month of June!

Lucy is big into dancing lately :)

Sammy likes to just lounge around and watch everyone . . . apparently with a really full diaper! I just noticed that . . . :)

Lucy and Timmy like to come into my room every morning and torture me :) Just kidding, first they torture my mom and dad while they are getting ready for work, THEN they come into my room when grandma and grandpa tell them they are leaving :)

Here is Jared talking to me on the phone while he was at his parents' house during one of his vacations (he would not call them a vacation, it was not a super fun time for him, poor guy).

While Daddy was out of town, grandma and grandpa helped us out a lot. They even took us to the ZOO! We love the Pittsburgh Zoo, and the kids especially like when grandma gets them a treat for the ride home :)

The Pittsburgh Zoo has a baby gorilla right now that is probably the cutest thing EVER. Seriously. I would go every week just to see the baby gorilla. Timmy was enthralled. I think he is looking at the big silverback while he was eating near the window here.

Timmy gets into a lot of mischief lately, especially with the jukebox. He LOVES to hear the song "We Will Rock You" by Queen. Although he prefers to say "we will we will rocketship!" It is too cute :)

The Children's Museum had a free day one Saturday so my Dad helped me take the kids there. It is a really awesome children's museum and we had a lot of fun. There was as drum group there that was really cool to watch . . . until the big puppet guy came out. Timmy thought it was cool but for some reason Lucy was TERRIFIED of this guy! She just started balling and we had to leave to go to another part of the museum. Poor girl. But they loved this black paper and sidewalk chalk coloring station :)

Timmy likes to visit with Sammy every morning, and we got some good faces with these pictures :)

Timmy discovered how to blink one morning. It was really funny to watch him.

Johanna's kids came to visit and Kingston has proven to be quite the baby whisperer. Well, Sammy is really a happy baby, but Kingston LOVED to be by him any chance he had. He was really good with him and they became good buddies :)

Grandpa Steve took Johanna's older kids and Lucy out mini golfing one weekend. On the way home he offered to get them ice cream from McDonalds. Somehow the girls convinced my dad that they needed smoothies, not the dollar ice cream cone :)
