The second half of April 2014

With a new baby in the house, life has been a lot slower paced lately. Sadly for Timmy and Lucy, we spend a little bit more time in the house, but we try to venture out at least once a day to get some fresh air.

 

Timothy has decided that the basketball hoop makes a better pony than a game :)

 

Lucy and Timmy both really love Sammy, which is so fun to watch. I was a little worried that Timmy might be jealous, he really likes being the baby of the family, but he really loves Sammy. 

We took a family outing to Scheels, our favorite store to go to. It is a big outdoors/sporting goods store that has a lot of fun stuff for kids, including a huge fish tank and a ferris wheel, as well as a McDonalds style playground. It's a nice place to walk around especially on a colder day. We usually go when they are feeding the fish, and this time we got to see the scuba guy cleaning the tank. Timmy wanted to get as close as possible to the guy. It was fun to watch :)

This is our cute little Sammy. I had just fed him in the middle of the night and he was just super chipper and smiley so I took a few pictures :)

I don't know if it is just boys or Timmy specifically, but this kid gets a lot more bumps and bruises than Lucy ever did. This time, he was hiding in my room trying to be sneaky and the lights were off. He ran around our bed, tripped and fell, and got a cut right next to his eyebrow. We think he hit the bed frame, but honestly we have no idea because he was hiding and it was dark. Poor kid :( No stitches this time at least!

Jared's cousin EmmaLee made Lucy this beautiful dress in her sewing class at college. Lucy was obsessed because it is such a good twirling dress :)

This is by far my favorite picture of the year. Our neighbor has a little library (it really is called the little free library) at her house in this cute oversized birdhouse looking thing that the kids love to visit. Lucy will not go anywhere without riding her bike lately, and she realized she was in a pickle when she picked out a book. She had to get herself, the book, and her bike home. These pictures pretty much sum up our life here in this neighborhood. We love this little street :) I hope Lucy's childhood always looks like this.
